SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024 Marking Scheme
The SSC stenographer exam pattern 2024 consist of two stages: the Preliminary exam and, upon qualification, the Skill Test. The Preliminary exam consists of three sections: Reasoning, English Comprehension, and General Awareness. The distribution of questions for each section is detailed in the table below:

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024 Tier II
Candidates will only be called to the Skill Test if they achieve the Commission’s passing score for the Written Examination. The Commission sets the requisite scores for each part of the Written Examination.
As part of the qualification procedure, candidates must pass a stenography test known as the Skill Test. This test consists of inputting material onto a computer after taking shorthand notes on a Shorthand Notepad. Candidates can choose to take the Skill Test in Hindi or English.
The transcribing pace for the Skill Test is set at 80 words per minute (w.p.m.) for stenographer Group “D” and 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for stenographer Group “C,” for a total of 10 minutes.
SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2024 Skill Test
To be considered for the post, candidates must first pass the preliminary exam and then successfully complete the skill test. This stenography test, an important component of the competence evaluation, will be administered at various sub-regional offices and other permitted places.
After clearing the preliminary exam and completing the skill test requirements, candidates must transcribe a 10-minute dictation in both Hindi and English. Candidates for Stenographer Grade C employment must have a minimum speed of 100 words per minute, whilst those applying for Grade D must have a minimum speed of 80 words per minute.
